Making Bread (6): Banana Bun

Ingredients

Ingredients Amount
Milk 64 g
Yeast 3.5 g
Bread Flour 250 g
Salt 3.5 g
Banana 147 g
Butter 27 g

Steps

  1. Mix yeast into room temperature milk, activate for 10 minutes
  2. Mash the banana
  3. Slowly mix the flour with the banana puree, and mix the yeast mixture gradually
  4. Mix the dough evenly until it's slightly sticky
  5. Add the soften butter to the dough and mix it until the butter is fully absorbed
  6. Let the dough rise in a greezed bowl for roughly 1 hour
  7. Flatten the dough to deflate
  8. Divide the dough into 9 pieces, flatten and deflate again
  9. Shape them and put them into the baking pan. Proof for 40 to 45 minutes
  10. Brush a thin layer of milk, bake for 20 minutes in 180C
  11. Brush a thin layer of melted butter
