Making Bread (5): Rye Bread
Ingredients
| Ingredients | Amount |
|---|---|
| Rye Flour | 1.5 cups (160 g) |
| Bread Flour | 1.75 cups (210 g) |
| Yeast | 2 tsp (8 g) |
| Butter | 1.5 tbsp (22 g) |
| Water | 1 cups + 0.25 to 0.5 cups |
Steps
- Mix everything and knead until the dough takes shape
- Allow the dough to rise for roughly 1.5 hour, or until 2x the bulk
- Shape the dough and put it into baking container
- Let the dough rise again for roughly 1 hour
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- Bake for 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown
- Let the bread cool off and slice it up
