A clear license for stories and code.
Published story materials and the project’s first-party software code have separate licenses.
Published books
The original text and illustrations in publicly released books, together with their public covers, story previews and native-reader story derivatives, are licensed by Peihong Guo under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), to the extent of rights the licensor holds. You may read, download, print and share unadapted copies for noncommercial purposes. When sharing, keep the supplied attribution, rights and license notices, and reasonably practicable source links.

You may make noncommercial adaptations for private use. The license does not authorize distributing translations or other protected adaptations; ask the rights holder for separate permission. Necessary technical format changes for printing an otherwise unaltered book are allowed, and statutory exceptions remain unaffected. The rights holder may also grant separate commercial permission.
The book license does not include private manuscripts, illustration masters, prompts or production records, or separate videos and branding unless expressly marked. It grants only rights the licensor holds; it does not grant rights in public-domain or third-party material, or create copyright in otherwise unprotectable AI-generated material. Public character portraits and model sheets are separate character artwork, outside the public-book CC grant; their copyright notices do not add a reuse license.
The CC license is irrevocable for recipients who follow its terms; later policy changes do not withdraw permissions already granted.
Software code
The project’s original first-party software code is licensed separately under the MIT License. The MIT notice identifies the copyright holder as Peihong Guo and contributors (2026). This code license does not apply to the books and does not provide access to the private source repository.

Third-party materials
Fonts and other third-party materials keep their own license terms; the book and software licenses do not change them.
